Both states on the map were painted in one color. Trump also called the new territories the United States.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau drew attention to the fact that the country will never become the 51st American state. Both nations benefit from the fact that their states “are each other's largest partners in trade and security,” the politician explained his words.
Before that, Trump indicated that Trudeau understands: many residents of the country like the idea of becoming part of the United States. The union of the two states would eliminate trade tariffs, lower taxes and guarantee Ottawa complete security from “threats” from Russian and Chinese ships that constantly surround them. Trump expressed confidence that Canada and the U.S. together “would be a great nation.”
In addition, the Republican suggested that the United States could insist on the full return of the Panama Canal. According to him, the authorities will resort to such a step if they refuse to revise the current terms of its use.
