The most compact model
As reported , the B-segment electric car EV2 will become the company's smallest electric car, featuring dual vertical headlights with Kia's star map light signature.
In addition, this model will be distinguished by robust front and rear bumpers and side sill details that will resemble a bone shape and will be silver in color, extending across the entire width of the car.
Design specifications
The EV2 design is distinguished by its unique solutions.
The silver strip in the body trim forms solid fender flares, giving the car a dynamic appearance.
The rest of the body features geometric elements, and the taillights extend above the wheel arches, adding to this striking visual effect.
In addition, the EV2 features "suicide" doors, which further emphasize the futuristic image of this model.
The bold light blue color scheme with dark red creates a distinctive and stylish look.
The unusual octagonal design of the steering wheel harmoniously blends with the contours of the dashboard, behind which is hidden a wide screen-like panel that supports over-the-air updates.
The EV2 also impresses with its comfort and practicality. It features articulated seats in both the front and rear, and the rear seats can be folded down, allowing the front seats to slide back.
Folding luggage compartments and straps help secure items and ensure they don't slip.
A solution for the cities of the future
Although the automaker has not yet provided technical data, the EV2 is expected to reach showrooms in Europe and other markets from 2026.
"The Kia Concept EV2 marks a bold step forward in the future of urban mobility. With the EV2, we aim to deliver a vehicle that exceeds expectations, offering innovative technology and practicality beyond its size. This concept previews Kia's vision for the future, to redefine the segment and deliver a higher level of sophistication and convenience for urban drivers," said Kia President and CEO Ho Sung Song.
Additionally, Kia announced plans to reduce the cost of charging electric vehicles for its customers by introducing a new Smart Charging service, part of Hyundai Motor Group's global initiative to develop the Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) concept.
This service is already available to electric car owners in the Netherlands.
