Iranian company presents unique bandage: accelerates wound healing and leaves no scars

For 1st and 2nd degree burns

The dressing, made from biodegradable materials and developed by an Iranian company  , is reportedly used to treat superficial wounds and first and second degree burns.

The product, called Fiberden, will go on sale on March 21.

First of its kind

Fiberden is the first product of its kind in Iran and many countries around the world.

The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge Economy said that the company is one of the leading and first manufacturers of pharmaceutical nanocontainers in the country, specializing in the development of innovative pharmaceutical products.

The country will produce about 500,000 units annually of these newly developed products.

The Fiberden dressing is made of biodegradable polymers and nanocurcumin, which is an excellent choice for rapid healing of superficial wounds and first- and second-degree burns. "The bandage has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which contributes to the rapid restoration of damaged tissue," the company's CEO said.

Thanks to the gradual release of active ingredients, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as a powerful tissue repair effect, Fiberden allows wounds to heal faster than with traditional methods.

In addition, the biodegradable properties of the dressing create a scaffold-like structure that helps replace proliferating cells with new tissue, significantly reducing the likelihood of scarring, and the dressing dissolves simultaneously with wound healing.

Iran's Progress in Healthcare

Iran has recently been actively improving its healthcare sector, producing pharmaceutical products and seeking to achieve independence in the healthcare sector.

The country recently announced plans to roll out  a locally produced cancer vaccine this summer  that will target a large number of cancer patients, making Iran one of the first countries in the world to develop cancer vaccines.
