Instagram banned a user's account for an unusual reason

Instagram has unusually severely restricted one user's account for commenting on another user's post with the word "paradise. "

Instagram banned a user's account for an unusual reason

The complaint went viral on Reddit

The user complained about the ban in a post on  Reddit on February 17.  He was joined by dozens of other users who have recently encountered similar situations on the social media platform.

Random event?

The user said someone posted a photo of a waterfall in Indonesia, and he just commented with the word "paradise."

Instagram then removed the comment and restricted the account from commenting.

"All 4 of my Instagram accounts were banned two days ago and I don't know what I did. I tried to just make a new account and move on but they kept getting banned. They banned my brother's account too for no reason," complained another user.

Instagram bans and restrictions seem to be completely random and do not affect certain users, no matter what content they post.

"I call people bastards and Nazis all the time and there are no problems," wrote another user.

Some believe that such bans, which affect even newly created accounts, may be related to IP banning, meaning any account created from the same IP address will be banned automatically.

In order to "bypass" this ban, you would need to use another internet network with an IP address and only then create an account.

Is this the moderation of artificial intelligence?

Whenever such random bans occur, people are very quick to blame artificial intelligence for it.

Recently, Instagram users have also complained about group posts being marked as "edited by artificial intelligence," raising suspicions that the platform may be using artificial intelligence for certain moderation actions.
