Elon Musk: OpenAI's $500 billion deal is a scam. Why?
Elon Musk never misses an opportunity to mock OpenAI, even if the news is supposed to be favorable to President Donald Trump. Just hours after the White House press conference on the Stargate Project ended, Musk wrote on the X website that the project's initiators actually don't have any money.

Elon Musk has doubts
Softbank, OpenAI, Oracle and MGX have committed $100 billion now and $500 billion in the future to the artificial intelligence (AI) data center company over the next four years.
But Musk, who now has sweeping powers and reportedly even an office in Trump's White House, seems doubtful.
Musk and OpenAI Conflict
Musk and OpenAI are embroiled in a highly publicized legal battle.
The Tesla founder has accused the maker of ChatGPT of taking AI in dangerous directions. OpenAI, meanwhile, says its criticism is disingenuous and unfair.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman responded to Musk’s accusations Wednesday morning.
“I have the utmost respect for your accomplishments and believe you are the most inspiring entrepreneur of our time,” Altman wrote.
But he later responded even more sharply, telling Musk that he understood that what was good for the country was not always optimal for his companies.
Altman says Stargate investment is good for the US economy
The Stargate Project is currently under construction in Texas, and the companies involved say they are considering other AI data center locations across the US.
The project's initial technology partners include Arm, Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle and OpenAI.
Meanwhile, Altman said in an interview with Fox News that it is obvious that the scale of investment in the Stargate Project is enormous.
Equally, he stressed, the technological advances that are likely to be achieved in the United States through this investment are enormous.
