Android Authority reported that Google is preparing an innovative AI feature that will give users more choices and a deeper understanding of translations, including the ability to change tone and style. 

One of the most important innovations is the "Ask a Question" button. It offers various options for modifying the translation: formal, informal, simplified, revised and regional variants.

Additionally, users will be able to view AI-adapted translations, leave feedback, and gain additional cultural context. 

Clicking the "Request Continue" button after the translation is complete will provide additional cultural context for the translation result. As well as insight into the nuances of the translation that help us understand how the AI ​​arrived at that result.

Features such as Formal, Simplified, Informal, Alternative Translations, Rework, Regional Variations allow you to customize the style and tone of the translation, and see how the translation changes depending on the settings. 

The new feature also includes additional cultural notes, grammar explanations, audio playback, and feedback features.

The new Translate features are just one of many AI-powered solutions being rolled out across Google services. 

Other examples include the advanced high-quality AI-based image generation model “Imagen 3,” which was introduced in 2024. in October via the  Gemini app 

Google has also expanded the availability of its AI-powered insights (reviews of a topic or query collected from multiple sources) in Search to more than 100 countries and languages, making it easier to find information and connect with publishers, businesses, and authors.
