ChatGPT-4.5 goes live: here's what we'll get

OpenAI has released ChatGPT-4.5, the latest version of its chatbot, which features numerous improvements over previous versions.

The transition will be gradual.

OpenAI  has published  a video that provides information on how the new version works better than previous versions and how to best utilize its capabilities.

ChatGPT-4.5 is currently only available in the research preview phase. It will gradually be available to all ChatGPT Pro users.

Plus and Team users are scheduled to receive access next week, and Enterprise and Edu users will be able to use it a week later.

Better thinking, better results

According to OpenAI , early tests of ChatGPT-4.5 show that this version of the interaction is more natural.

A broader knowledge base, improved ability to track user intent, and higher “emotional intelligence” allow ChatGPT-4.5 to be useful for tasks such as improving writing, programming, and practical problem-solving, with a lower incidence of hallucinations. This is because it was trained using Microsoft Azure AI supercomputers.

OpenAI is still exploring what this version can do. The company says it wants to see how people use it — which might surprise even the AI ​​chatbot's creator.

Compared to previous versions, Chat-GPT-4.5 showed a lower error rate for simple questions and answers, and its accuracy rates were the highest.

Due to its improved thinking abilities, this version can be used for emotional support during difficult times, pattern recognition, or even space exploration.

Another key advantage of the new version is higher security. To achieve this goal, Chat-GPT-4.5 was trained using new supervision techniques that combine traditional supervised fractional learning (SFT) and human feedback-driven reinforcement learning (RLHF), just like Chat-GPT-4o.

Available immediately 

The new ChatGPT model is available across all devices and platforms. Pro users can choose the ChatGPT-4.5 model on web, mobile, and desktop.

While this model has the latest information with a search function, supports file and image uploads, and can use  canvas  for writing and code work, it does not yet support features such as voice mode, video recording, and screen sharing.
